Tape deck for cassette tapes does not work. CD, Radio and all other functions work perfectly, including the speakers. The antenna is broken but radio still picks up channels. Includes working remote (see picture of purple laser). I removed the batteries and there was corrosion. It takes a lot of batteries so I was unable to test it running on batteries. But it has the power cord so it works great like that. Would probably eat up batteries and be expensive to play that way. This unit is very sturdy and large. Puts out great sound with high bass.
