VINTAGE 80s 1988 PANASONIC RX-DT50 BOOMBOX Portable Cassette Vertical CD Player

Vintage 1988 boombox from Panasonic. This boombox is working condition and ready for its next owner to enjoy. It has some visual wear from being 37 years old. Scratches and some scuffs – see photos. One speaker cover is slightly dented. The cd player’play’ does not work but the unit will play cd’s by pressing the track # on top. Cd display looks to be not showing a top line of lines, see last photo. It sounds great on radio, tape or CD. Pretty nice shape for the age. Also comes with the Power Cord but could run off batteries.

Vintage Sharp GX-CD56E Portable Stereo Boom box Cd Player Tape Cassette & Radio. Firstly it is working fine produces a good deep loud sound from both the tuner and the CD player the X bass function is a great idea which seems to come from a speaker in the middle. Tape player does work but couple of issues firstly there’s a knack to selecting it with the function switch. It’s really not a problem it didn’t take me long to master it. Sound with tapes not as good as with CD but probably more down to the age of my tapes? As tapes don’t age as well as CDs. I didn’t test with batteries but battery compartment is clean and tidy. I also didn’t test the record function if the tape deck. Comes with the plug in power cord. Nice clean and tidy stereo a good example of this type of portable stereo. Measures 71cm long 26cm tall and 22cm deep. Speakers can be detached and moved further away from unit but still used about 50cm of cable. Also you can easily connect different speakers to it if you want.
