Firstly it is working fine produces a good deep loud sound from both the tuner and the CD player the X bass function is a great idea which seems to come from a speaker in the middle. Tape player does work but couple of issues firstly there’s a knack to selecting it with the function switch. It’s really not a problem it didn’t take me long to master it. Sound with tapes not as good as with CD but probably more down to the age of my tapes? As tapes don’t age as well as CDs. I didn’t test with batteries but battery compartment is clean and tidy. I also didn’t test the record function if the tape deck. Comes with the plug in power cord. Nice clean and tidy stereo a good example of this type of portable stereo. Measures 71cm long 26cm tall and 22cm deep. Speakers can be detached and moved further away from unit but still used about 50cm of cable. Also you can easily connect different speakers to it if you want.
